Areas: Wayne County Mississippi, Mandy was born sometime between 1852-1855, her mother was a slave, her father the 'master' or 'overseer.
She lived to be over 100 yrs old, and died sometime in the mid 1950s in Ms.
Gayle began her genealogical research over a year ago, and the picture was not easy to come by, and since this is a "large" family that's spread throughout the country, she didn't want it to be hard if someone else researching, or for those researching in the future to find this image of her.

A Mother and her Children *

This fantastic photograph was submitted by: Rebecca Henderson and came from the trunk of Mary Stockdale Allen, and was IDENTIFIED by and elderly family member. In fact-the woman seated with her children was the daughter of Mary Stockdale Allens second husband John Allen. Her name was John Lee Allen Jones her children were Dorothy, Frankie, George, and Velda, of PA. This photograph was probably taken in the 1920s early 30s. 4/4/02
