OLD PHOTOGRAPHS OF AFRICAN AMERICANS UNKNOWN FACES

Here you can find Old Photographs of African Americans, that have been submitted to OPOAA. The subjects in the photographs are KNOWN, and the submitters would like to return/or share these old photographs with their descendants or rightful owners.

Have you ever ask yourself.....

 Wonder  where, or what happened to that old photograph of Grandma or Grandpa, or any other family member you may be searching for ?

Well...

The funny side of old photographs and family members is that, one may have that old photograph you may be searching for, and will not share, or reveal, that they have the photograph, in fear of it not being returned, damaged, taken away, or stolen. Just reassure them that you will handle their precious photograph of your ancestors with care. Hey, they can even go along for the ride with you to any copy center. Even better.... If they have a computer, scan it, save it,  email it to you from the comfort of their own homes.

Photographs were also given to non family members, such as friends..... They too may hold a priceless photograph of your Ancestor.
