On my 1st visit to Africa, I was overwhelmed by the faces I saw that looked so familiar to me. I realized they were very similar to faces in very old pictures my grandfather had on his walls. I had no idea who they were, but knew most of them were related. When you're young you don't think about "old folks stuff'. Well an African told me my facial features looked like I was from the MANDINGO PEOPLE. Mandingo and ZULU people were the only African tribes I knew anything about and that was because of TV. I decided to research family. I AM NOT FROM THE MANDINGO. With the help of African Ancestry DNA analysis, through my grandmother Adell I KNOW I am 99.7% MENDE/TEMNE African descendant from Sierra Leone W. Africa. Haven't found out where John Henry Adams descendants are from but looking at LEE ADAMS features I can tell AFRICA also. All of these old pictures with family and friends dressed in their best keeps me searching for family.
There are pictures in my collection that don't seem like anything to me, but I know for others it's a 'WOW'. I hope all will enjoy.
